Prepare for the Summer Travel Season with Repair Pal

This summer season looks like it will be a busy one for travelers already even with the inclement spring weather. But the weather is a good reason to make preparations for break downs, accidents and other auto emergencies that could happen. I've learned from extensive travel that it is far better to be prepared than to not be prepared.

I used to own a Toyota Corolla that I drove three thousand miles across country. If I had known about Repair Pal and its handy listings of auto repair shops or towing service garages, I would have saved lots of time and money. My oil seal leaked leaving my car completely dry with a mountain to climb and no civilization for sixty miles. If I had owned a handy little iPhone I would have used it to access the internet where dozens of local listings would have gotten me quickly out of a bind with a phone call. Instead, I rigged the problem with a stranger's help and drove my Toyota in its broken condition sixty miles to civilization.

Don't let this happen to you.

Bookmark this massive auto repair site that has listings all around the country. For example, if you are planning a trip to Chicago and wonder what's available, type in the search box Chicago auto repair. An extensive list will appear with pages of choices. All you'll have to do is scan the listings for particular services, vehicle make and model or to find out if new part replacements are performed in the city where you plan to travel. I always check for tire shops and brake specialists in advance of a long trip because they are common problems.

Some repairs can be done yourself but there are more extensive repairs like replacing a water pump that either requires detailed instructions or expert help from a mechanic. Don't worry, this information is provided on the website, too. Again, just type in the search box what particular repair you want to make and the part needed. An instruction page will guide you through the task of repairing your auto on the roadside or at home in the comfort of your garage or driveway, if you are lucky.

I hope you enjoy Repair Pal and all the convenience it offers. I call them my auto repair angels. I love the convenience. Who wouldn't like to be better prepared while traveling?

Tornadoes Tear up 150 Miles in North Carolina

I'm asking every one who reads this to pray for the people in North Carolina who suffered losses, injury or property damages during the recent severe destructive tornadoes. I don't know if any deaths were reported but I did read that damage to homes was severe. Some houses were either sheared apart or completely destroyed while others were badly damaged.

It's Easy to Find Truck Accessories Online

Just find some popular websites that have received good reviews or get a list of links from your family and friends who shop online. It is very easy to find online truck accessories because they are readily available and truck accessories are in big demand. Whenever we travel to a fund raiser or an Angel Foundation event, we often need to pack extra items so a truck rack is top on the list of items I would buy.  If you've ever lost a gas cap you will appreciate the convenience of ordering online. You can access the internet from public coffee shops, use your credit card or paypal to order in most places and have the item shipped wherever you want. I once drove thirty miles looking for a replacement gas cap over mountain terrain. I will never do that again as long as I could pull up a website and order online.

Plan for the Unexpected and Spare your Loved Ones

Losing a loved one is very difficult but when a loved one dies unexpectedly, it is devastating. The last thing you want to be concerned about is life insurance so plan ahead for the unexpected. Spare your loved ones the turmoil of making difficult decisions in their hours of grief immediately after they experience such a loss. Everyone can use some extra Help Moving

When people are in need they will request assistance with the personal aspects of their life. Making a transition to a new home is a very emotional time for families, especially when they have suffered the loss of a loved one. This makes it doubly difficult to ask others to move those sentimentally valued personal treasures. It's tough to ask a professional company unless you know they value those keepsakes and Grandma's old Hutch as much as you do.

If you need moving help turn to the professionals in the business of helping people and your treausures will be in good hands. I would recommend Moving Staffers because they co-ordinate with hundreds of quality moving professionals across the nation. They'll give a free estimate of your moving costs if you call the toll free number 800.658.7292. Moving Staffers provide the service you request. They will help you pack, load, unload or any combination of the three moving stages. Visit their website to see all the online services provided. For example, the search utility has options to find providers, locations, and check boxes for services needed. Moving Staffers is a reliable business with a solid 70 year reputation who operates all across the country.

Angels Foundation is Donating for Water Filters at the Rainbow Gathering

Cephas and I have discussed ways to give back funds that we either earn or raise for our ministerial foundation. We have decided on several very important projects which I'll mention now. Every year a rainbow gathering is held on national forests land and thousands of people attend these events. Water is the most crucial element for a safe and healthy event.

Since these gatherings take place on public lands that are usually located high in the mountains and deep in the forests, live water is the only viable source. Filters help to eliminate the possibility of sickness and disease. This year, we will be donating to a couple people who make those life lines possible to each of the main kitchens at the gatherings. They need filters desperately, so if you want to donate to a good cause, give to this and help us provide as many filters as they will need.

The starting goal is ten filters. Cephas and I will be donating a percentage of all our earnings to the Angels for Gabriel Foundation which, in turn, will be donating 50% of all funds raised until the goal of ten filters is met. The other 50% will go to another campaign which I'll describe in the next post on fund raisers.

Donations can be made by paypal. Send to angelsforgabriel@gmail.com and please make a memo "water filters" rainbow gathering 2010.  If you wish to donate in another way, contact us by email with your request and we'll send instructions.

Thank you in advance. God Bless you.

Gluten Free Shopping Guide will become your Best Companion

If you or a loved one suffer from gluten intolerance or celiac disease, then you need this shopping guide to help you stay on track with your gluten-free diet. This condition causes serious discomfort and even debilitating effects to sufferers. I know because I have gluten intolerance. Over the years, I've learned about the importance of avoiding certain foods. With so many products in grocery stores, how do you know which foods contain the allergens without reading hundreds of labels? I've spent countless hours figuring out lists of foods to eat or to avoid. Now, there is a handy guide that will make life so much easier. Get a copy for your reference guide and take it with you every time you shop. Read the listings and important supportive information so you can teach others about gluten intolerance and celiac disease. And get a guide from Cecelia's Marketplace for someone that you love.

Protect your Children from the Dangers on the Internet

Children are innocent for the most part and naive to the dangers lurking in the adult world. The internet is an open door for luring the innocence into dark places such as pornography or strangers who seek to prey upon children. It's enough for parents to protect their children in the every day world of community. Internet Safety Software offers a way to help build a safety net around children when parents cannot be there.

Ultimately, you want to trust your teens enough to allow them to surf the internet. You tell yourself that you did your best with parenting and tried to teach them right from wrong and how to make the proper moral choices. The reality exists in an imperfect world that makes it impossible to trust the people who come in your child's path, no matter the age. That is why it is imperative to take extra precautions with the advent of the internet. Teens are texting and using MySpace at increasing rates on a daily basis. They have access to computers at home, in school and in public places like libraries and cafes.

While public places take measures to protect children, you are responsible for what happens at home on your computer. Make it a safer place by using parental controls then add further safety nets by using the Spector Soft program to monitor where your child goes while online when you are not looking. This will provide a way for you to know if anything is happening that needs your parental intervention. A camera acts as your eyes to monitor webpages viewed, keystrokes typed, emails read and the ever increasing chat rooms, a noted place for predators to lurk. Be there with your invisible cyber hand to hold on to their safety net without imposing too strict restrictions on them that could damage their sense of freedom and expression. Sleep better at night knowing that you are there invisibly doing what parents were meant to do: loving and protecting your child from harm.

Christmas is a good Time for Angels

This photo is the representation of our Mother, Suzanne Ellen Colpetzer who passed away from complications from leukemia in November 2002. We fondly remember her today as a gentle reminder how much she loved and believed in both angels and the power of miracles.  In Suzanne's last days of her life on earth, she witnessed angels and asked us to share that witness around the nation. Angels for Suzanne took to the streets and the road around the United States.

Our website is being moved to a new hosted site. You'll be able to find Angels of The Light soon.
