Angels for Gabriel is dedicated to helping children in whatever capacity we are able. We get calls for help from people for many reasons. Sometimes a child is ill and the family cannot pay for medical bills or medicine. Often a child is terminally ill and the family needs help with last wishes or funds to carry them through a serious treatment period so they can be with their child. While there are agencies and foundations set up to help people in need, often people have exhausted those formal agencies and services so they turn to a private foundation like us. We take on cases as they are brought to us and Angels for Gabriel runs angel fundraising campaigns to help meet the needs. That's where we need your support. We never want to tell a child that no one can help.
This is our latest cause. Please read and help in any way. Details will be forthcoming as the medical doctors diagnose "Ben's" condition. His biliruben count is high. At this time, the cause is unknown. Here is what his family currently needs:
We received an urgent call from his mother because she doesn't have the gas money to get Ben to the hospital. (we're keeping their names off the internet and calling him "Ben" by the families request). Ben's biliruben came back at level 5 which is high. Ben needs to be examined at another hospital tomorrow but Mom and Dad don't have any money at all right now. They have no gas money. I promised to ask everyone I could to help them. We are receiving donations through paypal then using that account to send a Moneygram through Walmart. Mom has to leave at 7am so this is a push to a deadline. "Ben's" condition is deteriorating rapidly. He's been sick two weeks and they cannot wait any longer to run further tests and probably hospitalize "Ben". We don't know what will be required to help him. We just want to see "Ben" get to the hospital first. Please share this with everyone you know.
Make a donation with the paypal button on the sidebar. Mastercard and Visa can be used there. Or send by paypal to angelsforgabriel@gmail.com. This is an urgent plea to help save a young man's life. Please help me share the word. Thanks for reading this. God bless you.

Plans for Peace Gathering in Petra in 2011 launched
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Saturday, February 05, 2011Visit our new blog Petra in 2011 for the latest updates on our project to organize a large world peace and prayer assembly in Petra, Jordan this fall. It is a huge dream and long time vision that we've had but the plans are just now actualizing. We've taken the steps to start inviting people and advertise. The new blog is a forum on which to facilitate the plans and to communicate with people who are interested in either helping plan the gathering or in attending. There are many letters to write as peace ambassadors to members of the Jordanian government and religious leaders of the country to pave the way for this event. It will be wise to have their support. We intend to speak with the United States Department of State due to the crisis in the middle east and the sensitive issues that could arise. His Highness King Abdullah II will be a guest of honor as well so we have plans to open dialogue with the King as well. Cephas and I look forward to this journey and to sharing it with all of you.
May God bless our efforts and may God answer our prayers.
Peace be with you.

Please Support our Sponsors
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Friday, January 21, 2011To support our ministry work as a not for profit organization, Cephas and I use all our own money except for what donations or love offerings we may receive. As a freelance writer, I take on sponsors for whom I write advertisements and this blog is utilized for that to help cover the expense of hosting and maintaining internet use. So please read the articles and click my sponsor links on this site because it will increase my blog rating for Angels for Gabriel. This in turn will give me a chance at higher advertising and writing pay. I appreciate your support in our efforts and thank you for visiting my blog. Visit other blogs in my network and enjoy a variety of reading. These blogs support our ministry as well. You can give a donation on this site by choosing the paypal button on the side bar and give what your heart moves you to give. May God bless you for caring and may God continue to bless our efforts.
Our work embraces many aspects of religious and spiritual and humanitarian efforts. We support the homeless and often give to individuals in need. We support prisoners in the process of rehabilitation, drug rehabilitation, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and healing the sick. Every summer we conduct a month long healing camp in the national forest at the rainbow gatherings where we administer both spiritual and physical natural healing for free to those who ask for it. We provide all the medicine and food and supplies for this effort except for what is donated by our contributors. So if your heart is into any of these works, please make a donation and help us keep doing the Lord's work.
In Christ Jesus name, we give thanks for all things.

Shop online and find merchandise Worldwide
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Thursday, January 20, 2011Nowadays you can buy anything online and that is not an exaggeration. There are as many internet shopping sites as there is merchandise to buy. But there are few comprehensive online stores that sell quality or unique products from around the world. I can literally sit in my living room and comfortably browse for specialty items that are sold only in France knowing that I can trust the shipping to be secure. The prices will be good, too.
Europe has merchandise very different from the mass produced items in the states so check the shop wiki for Germany if you want to find a special gift for Ocktoberfest. Perhaps Spain is your fancy and you favor amor and all things romantically associated with the latin culture. It can be found in the same place. How else could you shop in three fantastic countries in the same afternoon?
I love the internet and I love the new wave of internet shopping. The products are delivered to your home so no worries about travel and checking those special treasures in through customs. If you haven't tried online markets yet, now is your chance to try one of the best ones on the internet today.

Family appeals for help to bury their brother and nephew
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Tuesday, November 23, 2010Today I met a family at the shopping center in Bakersfield, California near the Auto Zone. They were holding signs that read "In loving memory of Cruz Martinez". The sign holders first caught my husband's eye then my attention was turned to the two people that I saw standing there. My husband was going into the Auto Zone to pick up a some parts so he told me to go by the "leading of the holy spirit" on what I should give to these people. When I approached the first woman, I knew it wasn't about what I could give in meager dollars, but what I could offer to do for them in aiding their cause. I was moved in my heart to offer to share their story on my website and facebook pages. I agreed to assist them in their fund raising efforts.
This was a very hard story to hear as I watched Cruz's sister, his aunt and his niece as they struggled with their emotional and physical exhaustion in efforts to raise funeral money by holding signs on the roadside. His sister's grief was so deep. She told me she misses her brother so much and can't believe this has happened. He was so young and has four little children who love him so much.
This is a very difficult time for his family so please reach deep into your hearts and share your compassion with them. They just want his body laid to rest with a proper funeral. Help in whatever way you can and may God bless you.
Cruz Martinez was murdered on November 15, 2010 at age 26 leaving behind four young children, a wife and a grieving family.
On behalf of Cruz Martinez's family, Angels for Gabriel is appealing for your help to pay funeral expenses.
Donations can be sent directly to the funeral home if you have a credit card or checking account. If you wish to make a donation in person, please visit the funeral home and tell them you want to pay on the Cruz Martinez account. If you do this, please notify me at angelsforgabriel@gmail.com so we can track the donations. For those with paypal, send it via angelsforgabriel@gmail.com and let us know if you need a printed receipt or an electronic one for your gift. We are a not for profit organization with tax exempt status. Please note that any donations we receive for paypal will be paid to the funeral home until the entire $8,485.24 is covered.
The funeral is scheduled for December 3rd or 4th, pending the payment of costs.
As of today, two of Cruz Martinez's killers still remain at large. Please pray for justice so his family can have peace.

A Fantastic Shopping Helper
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Friday, June 25, 2010I discovered a unique shopping search engine to help you find extraordinary gifts such as collectibles and a host of items offered by multiple sellers. The Shop Wiki lists product wholesalers and retailers whether they pay to be listed or not. This opens up a rare opportunity to choose from a vast selection of products from all over the world. For example, go online to the website and browse merchants in France to see how many versatile shops you will find listed in this one directory. Forget browsing hundreds of websites to fulfill your shopping fantasies. Find them all in one convenient place for an unforgettable shopping experience.
If you are interested in something other than the French romantic styles then turn your fashion palette to the Netherlands for variety. When I clicked this link to view my choices for the Netherlands, I was totally amazed. There are 17 categories to begin my shopping spree. My only problem was in choosing just one. I decided to click "food and Drink" which was like a trip into a labyrinth of amazing possibilities. So many stores fit into this category that it pleases me immensely. I'll wile away many hours in shopping for unique treasures. First, I'll have to use a language translator because the Shop Wiki is written in the native language for country choice. Let's see what taste delights can be purchased from the Netherlands! May I suggest selecting the "Real Dutch Food" store for a start?
My next trip will be to Spain for some romantic home furnishings. I might even find a bull fighting outfit. It seems as though there is no end to the selections of product and stores that are available on this website. You have to try it for yourself. I think you'll be convinced this is the best place to shop on the internet.

Even a not for profit blog needs rank and audience
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Monday, June 07, 2010I started this blog as a tribute to a little boy and I keep it running as a not for profit ministry. We raise funds for people in need or families with children who have terminal illnesses. It's also dedicated to help pay funeral expenses so every thing we do is to support that work. Well, I learned one thing really fast. Even a not for profit blog can use a little help from an seo company because if you don't have an audience then who will read what you have to say? It's vital to get the word out no matter what you do or why you write.

Our Angels Foundation considered moving to the City of Angels
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Sunday, May 16, 2010A couple months ago, my husband and I seriously considered relocating to the big city of LA to finish some work involving a major writing project. The decision is still pending based upon a writing project and the possibility of attending spiritual classes. The perfect help if we take this journey are professional Los Angeles Movers to handle the heavy work involved in such a big move. I'd love to learn the secrets of people who can move without any stress and manage to get the task done with total organization. If I could make the easy transfer the way Movers Los Angeles packs and loads the furniture and boxes, I would be a professional mover. But I'm not so I'll leave the hefty work to them and just work on planning my move. We have a tough decision to make in the first place but it will happen once we finish our summer travels. Our first step will be to find an affordable apartment close to the spiritual academy then we'll call the LA Movers and start a new adventure.

Launching Fund Raising Campaign for Rainbow Gathering
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Sunday, May 16, 2010Water filters are desperately needed for the rainbow gathering this year. Spring council starts in early June and as soon as a site is selected, which usually happens around June 10-15, water lines and filters need to be put into place. Cephas and I are working through our channels to help manifest the much needed money to purchase the goal of ten filters at $200 each. We need to raise $2,000 in less than a month so this is a push. Please circulate this far and wide. Read the original post and the attached comments for more information from Hawker.
Please send all donations to angels4gabriel@gmail.com through PayPal. If you would like to make donations another way, we can accept the Green Dot Pay Pal Money Paks which can be purchased at WalMart's and most major grocery stores. Mailing instructions will be posted shortly but in the meantime, email themidnightwriter1@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter @midnightwriter1 or @angels4gabriel. Contact me through facebook as themidnightwriter. You can text through the chat system or send a personal message on Facebook. Complete instructions will be outlined on the next update post and a group will be created on Facebook.
Thank you in advance for your love and contributions to the health and safety of thousands who will gather to pray for peace July 1-7 in the eastern mountains of the United States. The location will be announced after the spring council chooses a site. We'll announce that on our blog when that decision is made.
God bless you and thanks again. Please share this with everyone that you know. It is an urgent need.

The Elderly need Adequate Health Insurance Coverage
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Tuesday, April 06, 2010Elderly people in retirement face many challenges in their lives and health care is one that affects them greatly. Most retired people have some type of insurance such as Medicare but it usually is not enough to cover added medical expenses incurred by a sudden illness. That's where medicare supplements are useful because these private insurance supplements like AARP will pay the costs that are not covered by the state subsidized by Medicare.
My parents had a tough time paying for my mother's illness because she suffered with leukemia for two years. Her treatments were not covered by the Medicare coverage so she turned to using alternative supplemental insurance and special health grants from private foundations. My parents had to pay a deductible before the supplemental coverage would pick up the tab. It helped them a lot though because they relied on this extra help after they consolidated all their debts and took out special loans for her treatments.
I was happy to see the extra savings in every day life that came with AARP and other Senior discounts or incentive programs through private insurance. I would recommend that every one check out the possible insurance programs that will be able to handle those unexpected medical expenses after retirement.

We Send our Prayers to the Mexicali Earthquake Victims
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Tuesday, April 06, 2010
A 7.2 major earthquake struck Mexicali about 30 miles from Baja, California on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. It's shaking was felt all the way to San Diego, California to the west and as far east as Phoenix, Arizona. Damage was widespread but minimal for a quake of its size, depth and power. Thank God for His loving mercy. Many people suffered damage to their homes and some people lost their lives. Our prayers go out to all who were touched or affected by this earthquake.
According to the latest report, two people died in Easter's quake and damage to structures occurred on both sides of the Mexico/America border. Buildings reportedly shook from San Diego to Las Vegas, Nevada. People in Phoenix, Arizona tweeted that they felt the shaking, too. A separate quake struck San Diego that was about a 6 on the rhicter scale. This earthquake was greater in magnitude than the one in Chile, but it caused less damage and very little loss of life compared to potential disaster it could have wreaked. It is summised that the depth, location and rural areas close to the epicenter reduced the size of this tragedy.
A geologist gives a lucid explanation of this earthquake based upon information available at this time. Studies are being conducted to determine which fault triggered this quake since the region in question is the center for a cluster of faults that merge. Here is the video if you want to know what seismologists/geologists are saying.

Prepare for the Summer Travel Season with Repair Pal
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Tuesday, March 30, 2010This summer season looks like it will be a busy one for travelers already even with the inclement spring weather. But the weather is a good reason to make preparations for break downs, accidents and other auto emergencies that could happen. I've learned from extensive travel that it is far better to be prepared than to not be prepared.
I used to own a Toyota Corolla that I drove three thousand miles across country. If I had known about Repair Pal and its handy listings of auto repair shops or towing service garages, I would have saved lots of time and money. My oil seal leaked leaving my car completely dry with a mountain to climb and no civilization for sixty miles. If I had owned a handy little iPhone I would have used it to access the internet where dozens of local listings would have gotten me quickly out of a bind with a phone call. Instead, I rigged the problem with a stranger's help and drove my Toyota in its broken condition sixty miles to civilization.
Don't let this happen to you.
Bookmark this massive auto repair site that has listings all around the country. For example, if you are planning a trip to Chicago and wonder what's available, type in the search box Chicago auto repair. An extensive list will appear with pages of choices. All you'll have to do is scan the listings for particular services, vehicle make and model or to find out if new part replacements are performed in the city where you plan to travel. I always check for tire shops and brake specialists in advance of a long trip because they are common problems.
Some repairs can be done yourself but there are more extensive repairs like replacing a water pump that either requires detailed instructions or expert help from a mechanic. Don't worry, this information is provided on the website, too. Again, just type in the search box what particular repair you want to make and the part needed. An instruction page will guide you through the task of repairing your auto on the roadside or at home in the comfort of your garage or driveway, if you are lucky.
I hope you enjoy Repair Pal and all the convenience it offers. I call them my auto repair angels. I love the convenience. Who wouldn't like to be better prepared while traveling?

Tornadoes Tear up 150 Miles in North Carolina
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Tuesday, March 30, 2010I'm asking every one who reads this to pray for the people in North Carolina who suffered losses, injury or property damages during the recent severe destructive tornadoes. I don't know if any deaths were reported but I did read that damage to homes was severe. Some houses were either sheared apart or completely destroyed while others were badly damaged.

It's Easy to Find Truck Accessories Online
Posted by TheMidnightWriter at Wednesday, March 24, 2010Just find some popular websites that have received good reviews or get a list of links from your family and friends who shop online. It is very easy to find online truck accessories because they are readily available and truck accessories are in big demand. Whenever we travel to a fund raiser or an Angel Foundation event, we often need to pack extra items so a truck rack is top on the list of items I would buy. If you've ever lost a gas cap you will appreciate the convenience of ordering online. You can access the internet from public coffee shops, use your credit card or paypal to order in most places and have the item shipped wherever you want. I once drove thirty miles looking for a replacement gas cap over mountain terrain. I will never do that again as long as I could pull up a website and order online.
